Quilt Kit

These kits are created for use by Quilts for Kids volunteers, not for personal use.

Please consider volunteering your time and energy to complete a quilt for a child that needs it. Our kits will help you get a jumpstart on the project, if you aren't sure what pattern or fabric to use. We greatly appreciate your efforts!

Since the intention is for the quilt to be returned to QFK so that we can distribute it to a child in need, there is no charge for the kit fabric. We do ask that you cover the shipping costs, they are the same whether you order 1 or 2 kits at a time.

Each kit includes:

  • Pattern instructions
  • A QFK label
  • Precut pattern pieces for the quilt top
  • 1 1/2 yards for backing and wrap around binding

Pattern selection is randomized. Quilt backing is enough to use for a 'wrap-around binding' technique. Batting is not included, but available as an add on.

Please return completed and washed quilt within 6-8 weeks to Quilts for Kids Headquarters at 494 Lincoln Hwy, Fairless Hills, PA 19030.

We are currently limiting the amount of outstanding kits to 2 per person. Please do not request more than 2 kits at a time, or your order may be subject to cancellation. If previously ordered kits are currently outstanding on your account, your order may be subject to a hold until all kit quilts are received.

For quality control purposes, we do not recommend our kits for groups whose individuals may vary in skill levels or for those new to quilting.  Please see our FAQ page for the guidelines these quilts must meet to be eligible for donation to hospital patients.

If you or some in your group are new to quilting, please see the 'How to Help - Patterns' section of our website. Anyone may use our free patterns. These patterns will list all fabric requirements and can be used for groups or practice, even if not being donated to Quilts for Kids.
