Marie Schlameus, QFK Round Rock Chapter, updates us on the quilts gifted to victims of the recent Texas wildfires.
She writes, “I want to share an email from a family in Bastrop with all of the QFK Chapters who generously gave quilts for the children in Bastrop. The quilts have been distributed to churches in Bastrop who joined forces to shelter and provide assistance to families who had the least resources.”
Dear Quilters,
Our family recently was given two quilts made by your organization for our children through The Hideout Christian Learning Center. We lost our home in the Bastrop wildfires, and your donation to our son and daughter touched us deeply. The children ages 7 and 3 were so delighted to have such beautiful quilts to cuddle after loosing their old trusty blankets! So many people have done so much for us and these quilts are so special and just another reminder to us of all the people who have stepped up and helped so many affected by the fire.
Thank you for your thoughts and kindness, we appreciate the love so much.
