At left, Ashley Cowan delivers 50 wheelchair bags to Woods' Services in Langhorne, PA. Jenn Hand of Woods' Services gratefully accepts the gift. Ashley created the 50 wheelchair bags from Quilts for Kids fabric to complete her Girl Scout Silver Award Project. Woods' Services Director Cheryl Kaufman says her fondest moments are when she looks down the halls at the pediatric wards to see all the kids in wheelchairs with Quilts for Kids wheelchair bags on EACH ONE!

Great Job, Ashley!

Tawanka Learning Center is Neshaminy (PA) School District's alternative high school. For over 6 years, students and staff at Tawanka have been volunteering their time and efforts for Quilts for Kids. The school's quilting class meets for 2 class periods each week. With only about 4 students in the class, the school manages an impressive contribution of 50-60 quilts each year. Many of the quilts made by Tawanka students are donated to the Mill Hill House in Trenton, NJ. Tawanka students also recently donated 33 quilts to the Bensalem Head Start program.
