Quilts for Kids News, November 2006
Back in March, we told you of a great promotion by Downy and Proctor & Gamble. Downy agreed to donate $1 to Quilts for Kids for each of your pictures uploaded to their "Downy Family Quilt." (See our March 2006 News page for more information). The promotion has now ended, but we're pleased and grateful to announce that with YOUR help--and the generosity of Downy and Proctor & Gamble, $25,000 was donated to support the good works of Quilts for Kids. Thank you so much to Downy, Proctor & Gamble, and all of you who took the time to upload photos and support our mission of mercy. |

Patricia Goodall, a professor at the University of Akron (Ohio)'s School of Family and Consumer Science, just started a new Quilts for Kids chapter with the support of students at her school and they're off to a great start. At left is a picture of some of the group members with their first batch of completed quilts--all done and ready to distribute to children in need. Click on the small image to see the full view. |

Trudi Gibert of the Vero Beach, Florida, Quilts for Kids chapter recently delivered 24 quilts to children at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Orlando.
