“Aunt Barbara” Featured in Local News
The aunt of QFK Founding President, Linda Arye, Barbara Goldberg, was recently featured in her hometown newspaper, giving quilting the credit for “saving her life” after her husband passed away.
Affectionately known as “Aunt Barbara” to many participants in the First Sunday workshops at headquarters, Barbara Goldberg learned to quilt in 2001 to help her neice get a fledgling charity off the ground. She credits learning to quilt with saving her life after her husband died, and now, eleven years later, Barbara has made hundreds of quilts for children and Quilts for Kids is a thriving national charity.
