2011 Annual Appeal

Dear Friend,

Did you know?  You can adopt a box of quilts to be shipped to the children who need them?

Receiving stacks of wonderful quilts from our selfless volunteers is thrilling, but they must be delivered all over the country to comfort many of the six-million children in hospitals fighting a life battle with an illness.

For just $100 you can sponsor the cost of shipping a box of quilts, enough for each child on an entire unit.  Your donation will help us to turn tears to smiles in the children we seek to comfort each day.

I wanted to pass on a sincere thank you for the amazing work that you do. My daughter was recently at CHOP (Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia) for a resection of a tumor. Following any procedure there are amazing feelings of being overwhelmed, knowing that your child has a significant recovery, not being able to go home, and being just plain scared.  When I returned to my daughter’s recovery room following her surgery, your quilt put a very different memory in my mind. This time when I walked into her room, I saw the beautiful quilt that you made. Now, she not only has a piece of artwork, but has a story to tell that someone cared enough, took the time to make her this amazing quilt…..thank you…..

Until there’s a cure, Quilts for Kids reaches out offering comfort, leaving these families with the feeling that someone they don’t even know cares enough to put love and wishes for a better tomorrow into a hand-made patchwork quilt.  That thought and your financial support help more than you can imagine.
