San Antonio Military Delivers

Gayle Powell and two employees of San Antonio Military Medical Center take a closer look at two quilts from the donated stack. Bert and Ernie look particularly pleased.

One of our newest and most active chapters, San Antonio Military, recently delivered 22 quilts to the pediatric Hematology/Oncology department at San Antonio Military Medical Center.

Chapter Leader, Barb Lucas writes, “We hope to make another delivery before Christmas. They were so happy to see quilts that are appropriate for BOYS! In fact they said two boys would be coming in today and they couldn’t wait to give them quilts.”

They also delivered an additional 12 quilts to the Warrior and Family Service Center which provides support to families who have a wounded warrior being treated at the military hospital.
