One Man’s Trash (Hauler) is Another Man’s Treasure (Hauler)

Kenneth and Dan, ready to roll.

When a cry for help went out that QFK had to deliver 400 quilts to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Waste Management listened.  Two strong employees and a pick-up truck showed up at headquarters and 40 bags of quilts were loaded in no time.  Thanks to truck owner, Kenneth Anderson, and helper, Dan Newkirk, St. Christopher’s staff will be able to provide the comfort of hand-made patchwork quilts to 400 more young patients.

They even made a detour to Temple University Hospital to deliver a quilt to the hospitalized daughter of a Waste Management driver.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to Waste Management for their continued support!
