A few weeks ago I received a phone call from Carrol H., requesting a quilt for her grand-daughter who had just been diagnosed with stage IV glioblastoma. The prognosis was grim. She told me about her grand-daughter, how caring and smart she was and that she had just started her first semester on the way to becoming a nurse.
I went into the quilt holding room and chose the most beautiful quilt I could find, that I thought an 18-year-old girl would love, and shipped it out immediately.
Today a received a letter from Carol to tell me that her grand-daughter received the quilt and was able to see it and have it at the hospital.
