Now, THIS is the Way to Put the Fun in Fundraising!

First came Craft Fair/Family Fun Day.  The energetic ladies of the Lehigh Acres, FL Chapter, River Hall Country Club "branch," made and sold quilts and other hand-made items, getting the word out into the community about Quilts for Kids.

Leftover items from the Craft Fair were then sold at a member's jewelry party, proceeds benefiting QFK.

Then came National Make-a-Difference Day.  lehighacresmadd

Some members held a Sew-a-thon at River Hall where they made many quilt tops and taught new quilters how to get started;  others set up a booth in the community to make people aware of QFK and to offer opportunities for  involvement.

At the third fundraiser, in conjunction with the Golf Members Opening Event at River Hall Country Club, the ladies held a Silent Auction featuring art work, golf-themed items, and of course, quilts!  Attendees donated very generously thereby enabling Lehigh Acres/River Hall members to keep on sewing for quite a while.

Thanks to Shelly Albert for sharing these wonderful photos and keeping us up-to-date on chapter accomplishments!

Thanks for sharing our news, Pam. This was really a community- and chapter-wide effort. So many members made items for the sale and auction, and many others helped with the booth at the Crafts Fair and at the Golf Event at River Hall. Special thanks goes to Lisa Whited for donating the space at the fair and to all the others who donated goods for the auction and raffle. And, of course, a big thanks to everyone who donated so generously to Quilts for Kids!
