Meeting Goals in Indiana

Posted by pam on August 6th, 2013

Cathy Case's goal for the Indiana Chapter of QFK was to grow to 100 members who would each commit to making one quilt a month.  That way, 100 quilts per month could be donated to children who need a hug.

Although still growing, membership has not reached 100 yet, but in April and again in July 100 quilts were delivered to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent!

100 Indiana

As Cathy says, "There's nothing quite like bringing in a wagon train full of quilts that you know will bring smiles to the faces of the children."

Kudos to all you Indiana ladies!

Cathy and I have been friends for several years now and when she came to me and asked me if I would be willing to make quilts for children that were sick in the hospital I told her I would love to. It has been wonderful seeing the chapter growing and growing but we can always use more volunteers. Cathy works hard to get volunteers and donations for our chapter. To see pictures every month of the wagons that take our collections really puts a smile on my face. So I say to Cathy " I will always be there to help until the day I die." Keep up the good work Cathy and all of the volunteers that put smiles on these children's faces.

I am one of the many members of this chapter. It is a great JOY to work with these women. We have an all day workshop and carry in lunch. It is a great day to chat, sew, and laugh. We have fun and do something worthwhile in the process. For anyone in the central Indiana area who wants to "get away" for a day and meet with others who share a love for quilting or if you have never sewn but want to do something worth the time, join us. We have lots of room. Meet the second Saturday of each month and have our own Face Book page. Cathy is so hard working for the chapter. She is awesome.
