Over 1500 Quilts on the Way to Oklahoma!

Posted by pam on May 21st, 2013

ok quiltsQFK Staff members packed up 1900 quilts on Tuesday and Wednesday, most of which were express shipped to comfort children impacted by Monday's horrific tornado.

Thanks to to Robin Hill of the Stitchn' Post in OK City and the Dept. of Human Services for getting the quilts to the children who need them.

Where so many have lost so much, it's hard to imagine how to help, but QFK will do what we do best...comfort children with patchwork quilts.

Our thoughts are with all the families who are suffering.

Needless to say, we need your quilts now more than ever!

Linda is working directly with DHS (Department of Human Services)in Oklahoma. Through our partnership with Downy Touch of Comfort, they are able to get the quilts directly to the children in Children's Hospitals who have been affected by the Tornado. By working with DHS we are also getting them to the children who are not in the hospital but have lost everything. Please send your quilts to us at 494 Lincoln Highway, Fairless Hills, PA 19030. You can indicate in a note that you want your quilt to go to Oklahoma. Thanks! Nancy

By demand of our volunteers, South Sacramento CA Quilts for Kids chaptewants to ship a box to ship to Oklahoma. Please give me an address on where to ship them, seems silly to send them to headquarters only to have them ship them to OK later. Thanks. Malissa southsacqfk@yahoo.com
